Yes I think a name change is required. But I don't know how! I, with help, mastered it once before, but am afraid to do it again. Anyway I know the alga best by its old" name!Osborne 18:14, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
@Osborne:, why don't you be bold and update the text of the article to reflect the current name. Be sure to cite a source, and when you're ready it can be moved.
