Correction;

First, Donald Stone, Ken Burger, William Prast, Billy Steven Bailey, Billy Calvin Bailey and Steve Holder were the principals and founders of Digital Games, Inc. 545 Terrace Drive, San Dimas, Calif. It is here, and only here, that the original Syndrum was designed and built at the request of Joe Pollard. The original design incorporated a small speaker embodied in a drum "practice head" as a velocity transducer. This was fed to a quantizer to create a TTL trigger that caused a primitive but effective "Moog style" synthesizer to create a sound. The transducer was designed by Prast and the synthesizer was designed by B.C. Bailey.

This product was licensed to Joe Pollard for a one time fee of $50,000. Pollard and his newly formed company were free to do whatever they wished with the product as Digital Games, Inc. had no interest in manufacturing musical instruments.

While there seems to be some confusion as to the "designer" of this drum instrument it is absolutely clear that Digital Games, Inc. was the originator. A search of Corporate records of California will reveal that Digital was co-owned by Don Stone. The original drawings (schematics) are in my possession and as a co-designer I find this attempt to claim the creation of this device to be egregious. It is strange that I am the only principal that responds to this claim, where are the other principals Pollard, Stone, Barton etc. to collaborate these false claims?

To the slightly unhappy designer, maybe you don't understand that Joe Pollard is not making any claims here. This is an encyclopedia. The editors are presenting the material. If you have valid, recognized sources you can cite, please edit the article. That's how Wikipedia works; that's how we move toward accuracy. Rainbow-five (talk) 23:52, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
