Sport[edit]

The section on the "Pohnpei national football team" needs cleaned up. The article mentions the "Pohnpei NATIONAL team" when Pohnpei is part of the Federated States of Micronesia, and not a nation at all. It also mentions a match lost 0-16 to Guam in 2004 (The Pohnpei football team page on Wikipedia does not show this game, and as far as I am aware , such a game did not take place. The nearest comparable game was a 1-16 defeat to Guam, but this was in 1998 - so I have no idea where the 0-16 game came from, or where the date came from - could it be that someone just guessed it? Also, Guam is not "so poor it doesn't have a ranking". It has a ranking, just that its ranking points (at the time) were zero, so it was ranked equal last (again to reiterate, it HAD a ranking). It has since increased its ranking. Later on, it says that Pohnpei were looking to join the OFC. This would not be possible. As mentioned above, Pohnpei is a part of the Federated States of Micronesia, which itself is an associate member of the OFC. I would urge whoever wrote the section on sport to think seriously before writing anything else on Wikipedia. New Native Fauna Section?[edit]

Other than the first sentence in the Geography section, the rest of this section discusses fauna on the island.

Perhaps a new Native Fauna section should be created for that material. Also, the Geography section should then be beefed-up. For instance, is this island volcanic in any way? What is the soil like? Etc. Vincent Ree (talk) 12:53, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
