Science Olympiad[edit]

I believe it would be worth mentioning that the Science Olympiad teams for all three schools have historically performed well in both the regional and state levels of tournament. I would have the actual results for recent years if this idea is agreed upon. --68.73.206.87 (talk) 18:05, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This information has already been added, presumably by you. I don't think any information about the exact rankings needs to be added, though; it'd only serve to further clutter up the article. Not to mention that this year didn't go so well. --Qmwne235 15:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Debate Team[edit]

It appears that some believe that the existence of this needs to be cited (and yet the following clubs mentioned do not). There is no real way to find an unbiased source off any published material or the Internet on this. However, there are some people who started one late last year. I can't find a good source, put there were tons of flyers posted earlier to come on Thursdays and get free pizza for the first meeting. If they're still there, I may still be able to get one. Until then, I don't believe this needs to be cited. --queso man 22:27, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correction: There are a debate club and a debate team. However, I don't think it needs to be changed, though feel free if you feel like it. Also, it's held in a room in 2nd floor Salem every other Thursday. --Qmwne235 16:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The alumna kerfuffle[edit]

Well, it appears the information is now added back in. Calton, Aaron and the other anon (sorry, you should register for an account) all seem to be in agreement in this matter, and so as far as I'm concerned going forward you can revert any edits subverting that consensus as vandalism. · Katefan0(scribble) 17:14, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Marching band[edit]

There seems to be a little revert war going on about the marching band here between a group of anonymous participants. Please don't just blank other folks' edits without any discussion. At least give a reason in the edit summary, but it would be better if you could discuss it here. Even better: get an account, log in and sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) so we can figure out what's going on. Thanks. rodii 03:37, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Marching Band[edit]

I deleted a somewhat opinionated portion of the Marching Band article. It seems as though it was added to raise questions, rather than present facts. While it did present both sides, it is not a much talked about issue any longer, since the Marching Band will remain conjoined, so it seemed unneccessary to the article. Feel free to give me your take if you have one. <>Refusetobesilenced 14:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added my section back, and I hope that you will let it reamain for ate least a little while, to see more opinions on it. I don't think it is causing any harm, so leaving it to see what people think shouldn't be a problem. User:Karl_707
It makes three unsubstantiated assertions about what "many" or "some" people say. I almost deleted it again, but decided to ask for sources. At this point, though, I would say it is not a worthwhile addition to the article. · rodii · 12:45, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This article is not for "opinions", it is meerly for the presentation of facts. If you wish to get opinions on a topic, find an appropriate forum or message forum, not an encyclopedia. Refusetobesilenced<<

Valedictorians[edit]

Can we please source the valedictorian info? I am a crazy guy who checks this page all the time. To my knowledge, there are no named valedictorians at Salem. - Class of 2005. TrueBlueMichigan 20:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes. The source contact information is Gerald Ostoin, 46181 Joy Rd, Canton MI 48187. Please reach him at 734-416-7800 for further inquiries. Salem has had a history of valedictorians since the school opened. We simply do not release the information to students, or parents for that matter. Only students who are selected are notified. I don't know why someone edited the wikipedia page with this information, but the truth remains. Thank you for your concern TrueBlueMichigan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.211.222.114 (talkcontribs) 20 December 2006

Fair use rationale for Image:Pcep2.png[edit]

Image:Pcep2.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:52, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have any idea what is going on with this article today, but if this is some sort of class project, STOP! Nothing you are doing is improving the encyclopedia. John from Idegon (talk) 20:43, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
