Name of this article[edit]

This article's present name, "Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat", appears to violate Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)#Use English words ("Convention: Name your pages in English and place the native transliteration on the first line of the article, unless the native form is more commonly recognized by readers than the English form. Filipino vs. Pilipino, etc.[edit]

This edit caught my eye. The edit changed "Ako ay Pilipino" to "Ako ay Filipino" and changed "kanyang" to kaniyang" with an edit summary saying, See official "Panunumpa sa Watawat" (Ako ay Filipino...). I have reverted it back into agreement with the cited supporting source (RA8491). As far as I know, that law has not been changed. Explanation: Revert re the text of the pledge, and the cited supporting source[edit]

Here, I have reverted a change to both the text of the pledge and the cited supporting source.

The reverted-to supporting source is www.officialgazette.gov.ph/1996/06/12/executive-order-no-343-s-1996/, a quotation of Executive Order No. 343, s. 1996 by the official gazette of the Philippine government
The reverted-from supporting source is elibrary.judiciary.gov.ph/thebookshelf/showdocs/2/4626, a web page in the e-library of the Supreme Court of the Philippines which appears to be the same with some presentation differences at first glance but which, on closer examination, differs in detail. On closer examination, the following header can be seen above the apparent quotation: No. 630 H. No. 2586 / Malaya 2/19/98 ; Manila Times 2/19/98 ; 9 VLD 2d 353. That appears to identify it as a requote of an article published by the Manila Times on February 19, 1998. I have not been able to locate a copy of that article online.
