Unreferenced Article[edit]

I do believe that this information is true, but in my mind all information on Wikipedia must have at least one good source. When an article is unreferenced, I am never 100% sure if I should trust it or not. As a "page patroller", I did tag this page as unreferenced. I am not the person who will go around tagging everything in question for deletion, but I would like to see some improvements made. Thanks. Wiki you now, Wiki you later! Plant species articles are often based on the Jepson Manual which appears in the external links section. I made that link and USDA Plants inline references and added other references. Walter Siegmund (talk) 21:28, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 31 October 2020[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Piperia elegansPlatanthera elegans – A taxon shift several years ago has transferred the former Piperia species into Platanthera (supported by WCSP). The Piperia page is already a redirect to Platanthera, so it would make sense that this page be moved to Platanthera elegans. For some reason, though, the system isn't allowing me to move this page. I've already moved other former Piperias to existing pages that existed before only as redirects, so I'm not sure if the problem is that a Platanthera elegans page already exists. I assume the corresponding page already has some history, although it only exists as a redirect now? JadeSpire talk) 23:46, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's correct. If there is more than one edit, either on the subject pages (Edit histories: Platanthera elegans and Platanthera yadonii) or their talk pages then only admins and page movers can rename the articles. As you can see one page has two edits and the other even more. So these move requests are a good idea. See also the similar request at Talk:Piperia yadonii#Requested move 31 October 2020.
