Text and/or other creative content from Piper Alpha was copied or moved into Piper oilfield with this edit. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.
Please investigate the map's registration, or the economic boundary overlay.
Piper field's position is incorrectly displayed on the map titled "Location of Piper oilfield".
Piper field lies in B/Q 15/17, approximately 1/4 distance between UK/Norway boundary, & Wick on Scottish mainland.
It's relative position can be seen in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:North_Sea_Fields_Zoom_north.jpg
Never mind, corrected it myself, on realising someone had set longitude as 1.2E, instead of 0.12E.
