Pie suppers not limited to the ozarks[edit]
Pardon me for being so forward, but pie suppers were very common in North Dakota, where my family is from. This is how my grandparents met. At least 4 languages were commonly spoken in that part of the world back then. People belonged to different churches and were thinly spread across rural areas.
