This Article Needs an Update[edit]

On it's face, this article seems to have started as a discussion of some list of Philadelphia Phillies minor league (sic) players. Someone then transformed the list to include the (incomplete) full roster of every Phillies' MiLB affiliate. That was a good update. What seems to be lacking is the initial list. The list begs, why those players and not others?

My suggestion. Replace the Player section with "2012 Top Prospects,"[1] based on the 2012 MLB Prospect Watch. Then, show the rest as it appears, and update it regularly.

I will update the prospect portion, but give me a month. Maybe more. Someone else needs to dedicate themselves to dealing with the mundane, i.e., keeping the ever changing roster current.

We need a team of people to keep this page alive. Squonk64 (talk) 20:38, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This page is quite alive. Its purpose is to include minor leaguers of note who have some coverage but may not yet be notable by WP:BASE/N or WP:GNG standards. So that would include players on the 40 man roster (like Robles, Hernandez, Martin, Pettibone) and interesting prospects (like Colvin, Asche, Martin). Singleton I'd argue should be deleted, since he was of a little interest to a Mariners-happy editor years ago, but hasn't panned out into anything noteworthy. The others should remain until they are noteworthy enough for their own pages. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:39, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think we should put too much stock in these lists for Wiki purposes. Their rankings are too subjective. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:52, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not saying we do, but am saying there is some decent information to someday populate a "minor league career" section in one of their articles. Go Phightins! 16:26, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Darick Hall[edit]

Hall is probably on the cusp of warranting an entry here. Just dumping these two sources in case we go that route. https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/phillies/phillies-prospect-darick-hall-plate-discipline-eyesight https://www.philliesnation.com/2020/05/power-hitting-prospect-darick-hall-looks-to-continue-his-approach-when-baseball-returns/ Go Phightins! 13:01, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
