Commercial links[edit]

I removed a few commercial links from this page, in accordance with WP:EL, WP:COI and WP:ADS. Lately it's become accepted practice not to link directly to a retailer unless there's a substantial amount of directly relevant information on the site. Even then, it shouldn't be a blanket link but specific references for specific claims in the article. I don't think that the sites linked in this article qualify. Please discuss before reverting again. Orpheus 03:18, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I came up with those websites when i was googling up for places where hobbyists could get kits and hovercrafts themselves. The fact is that there ain't that much of a choice - just few companies here and there.
If it would be pizza article i can understand that it shouldn't be linked just to pizza hut or something caus' there are thousands of pizza companies out there. But with personal hovercrafts the story is different. There are just few of those companies, so i think mentioning couple of them is better than not mentioning any at all. I disagree - I think people are capable of doing a Google search themeselves. Wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate directory of links. I don't think it adds to the article to have what is effectively a "where to buy" link at the bottom. It should be enough to mention (as it does) that it is possible to buy kits, and allow people to find the companies through the traditional channels. Orpheus 21:55, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You removed link to free hovercraft plan, why ? it's not a commercial link.

Personal hovercraft it's DIY, FSP or homebuild project, may be 95% hovercraft in the world.

Why create "personal hovercraft" wiki word , if just only for explain "personnal" and "hovercraft" words ??

Wiki is here do link good source about the subject, so -free hovercraft plan -race information (from hcgb in uk ) - personnal web page with many explanation for homebuild can have a link from this pages.

Fair use rationale for Image:Hovercraft 1.jpg[edit]

Image:Hovercraft 1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
