Concern about this article[edit]

I have a couple of concerns about this article. The first concern is that the opening paragraphs are not written from a neutral point of view. The tone is moderately critical of peremptory challenges. The second issue is that Batson challenges are incorrectly defined later in the article. Both of these things need to be addressed. I would say it is much more than moderately biased.

"This use of stereotyping in the configuration of a jury could result in some groups being challenged more than others, going against the principle that a jury is a uniform sample of the community." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.212.235 (talk) 07:00, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy Section[edit]

The controversy section mainly focuses on the US, despite the article itself focusing on several different countries. Might be better to add some sort of subsection for the countries list on individual controversies and perhaps legal history as well. 2601:243:600:70A0:90C3:972B:AB7:2CE6 (talk) 23:57, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
