The name is just Pedernales[edit]

You have given a new name to the city of Pedernales. Just remember that only the National Congress can change the name. Where did you get that name? --Pepemar2 (talk) 02:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is not historical record of the city being called Santa Bahía de Pedernales; at least, it is not mentioned in any book written on the city of Pedernales. And there was not a church in the bay; the first church built in the city was during the Trujillo's Era. --Pepemar2 (talk) 01:01, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
