Proposed deletion per WP:NOTRECIPE[edit]

This article is currently proposed to be deleted because of the concern that it fails WP:NOTRECIPE. I think this deletion proposal doesn't hold and the article should be kept. Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not says "Describing to the reader how other people or things use something is encyclopedic; instructing the reader in the imperative mood about how to use something is not". For articles about foodstuffs that would mean that an article giving instructions on how to cook a dish or what to serve with it is not encyclopedic, but an article describing how people often make it and what people usually eat with is it encyclopedic. Since this article doesn't say "blend peanut butter with a chicken stock" or "serve with warm fufu" but instead says "it is a staple of African cuisine" and "it is often eaten with fufu" this article doesn't fail the directive mentioned above. Therefore I will remove the deletion template. - FakirNL (talk) 15:10, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging "Ground nut soup" with "Peanut soup" article with a redirect from Ground nut soup to Peanut soup. It would save time for the reader and editors. Thanks for considering.172.58.67.6 (talk) 19:12, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
