Chicken or Egg?

This article is about a progressive rock band. For the Russian physiologist and his experiments with dogs, see Ivan Pavlov. For Pavlov's experiment with dogs, see Classical conditioning.

I can certainly see why this article about a rock band would take precedence over the culturally significant reference to these experiments. I.e., the very reason the phrase "Pavlov's Dog" is a household word worldwide... I don't think.

I agree, this choice seems odd. I'm not sure as to how to change it, so I'll leave it as is until someone who knows finds this. Nemetroid (talk) 18:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gheesh, people. This title has nothing to do with "choice" or 'precedence." Have you ever heard of disambiguation? (Big Mike)

Maybe move this article to Pavlov's Dog (band) and either redirect Pavlov's Dog to Classical conditioning or make a new article about Pavlov's experiment. GoEThe (talk) 10:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I renew my objections.[edit]

I just happened to browse back here to find a link to familiarize a co-worker with this significant cultural reference, and find that there is absolutely no disambiguation page and that this page about a relatively unknown band has still been asserted as primary. If one clicks on the disambiguation link at the top they are referred to a page that links only to the band site.

I then clicked on the talk page to address the issue and find that I already had back in April.

This is the first time I've been moved to try to lodge a grievance and see that things are remedied. I don't even know how, but I will here very soon.

This is shameful. --Thistledowne (talk) 16:45, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
