"It was discovered in 1967 by Nicholas Flemming ..."

A former German teacher (Uwe Kreher, born 1936 in Hamburg, Germany) travelled the Parnon Peninsula in 1964 and discovered the tombs at the beach, bringing them in relation to the time of Mycene as the shape is quite similar. As Mr. Kreher has fallen in love with this area, he continued to explore the Vatika within the next years, returning each year and deciding once, to settle in the Vatika. In 1966 he found and bought a claim right in the middle between Neapoli and Pavlopetri, at the beach. In summer 1967 Mr. Kreher and his friend Dr. Jochen Koetschau arrived in order to start the construction for a summer house. Coincidentely Dr. Flemming showed up one day at the beach during his research of mediteranian oceanography. Beside his research he showed intensive interest for the spouse of Dr. Koetschau and made a pass on her (Solveigh). As the time in the summer holidays was limited and passed by quickly, Mr. Kreher saw the project of the house (and the relation of the Koetschau-couple) endangered. In order to disattract Dr. Flemming from the scene, Mr. Kreher invited Dr. Flemming for a tour to Pavlopetri and showed him the tombs etc. The plan was successfull, Dr. Flemming stayed at Pavlopetri and the works at the summerhouse continued. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.131.226.197 (talk) 12:35, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
