Ivor Novello award[edit]
Regarding the claim that Jonathan King won an Ivor Novello Award in 1975 for "Una Paloma Blanca", see this thread from Talk:Jonathan King. It seems the claim is untrue. DeCausa (talk) 22:10, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- King's version of the song would fail the eligibility criteria for the 2014 awards, which are here and clearly state that a songwriting credit must be involved to qualify (page 4). This does not help with 1975, but since their inception, the Ivor Novello Awards have been about songwriting, not performance. The sole credited songwriter of Paloma Blanca is George Baker (musician).--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 18:15, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
