Confusion of P antigen and P blood group system[edit]

In respect of the current confusion of the P antigen and the P blood group system with the last changes of chromosome numbers see Talk:Human_blood_group_systems#Last_changes_in_P_and_GLOB_system. --Firefly's luciferase (talk) 16:57, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional comment: This article will need some additional work later. The referenced NEJM article is still referring to the P antigen system (symbol P1, number 003; Chromosome 22) before GLOB (028; Chromosome 3 with antigen P) was defined and the collection GLOB (209; Chromosome 22; including antigen Pk) were defined. It's a little bit confusing. Since classifications may change in the next future again because of recently reported scientific results; I will not change the article at the moment but return to it then again. Please feel free to update it as well. --Firefly's luciferase (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
