Not sufficiently notable[edit]

This strikes me as a vanity entry. Being the co-cinematographer of one notable (yet to be released) film doesn't seem to warrant a dedicated page. There are practically no cinematographers of equivalent lack of notability who have their own pages.

As but a few recent examples, Fraser Taggart, the cinematographer of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning parts 1 and 2 has no page despite that film already being released, having three times the budget, and earning half a billion dollars and positive reviews, all of which make it substantially more notable. Fredrik Wenzel has served as cinematographer on two films that won the Palme D'Or at Cannes, one of which was also nominated for three above the line Academy Awards including Best Picture but he has no page of his own. Joshua James Richards was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for serving as the DP of Nomadland which won several Oscars including Best Picture but has no Wikipedia page of his own. Brett Jutkiewicz has been the cinematographer on Stranger Things, both most recent Scream films, The Black Phone, Ready or Not and a dozen other notable studio releases but has no page. Chayse Irvin served as cinematographer for BlackKklansman which grossed $100 million and earned 4 above-the-line Oscars winning one, as well as lensing Beyonce's Lemonade, Andrew Dominik's Blonde, and a number of high profile films but has no page of his own. Barry Idione was the cinematographer for Thor: Love and Thunder, which had 4 times the budget of The Creator and earned three-quarters of a billion dollars as an entry in the most popular, highest grossing franchise in modern history, but has no Wikipedia page.

These examples are merely to demonstrate that not every person who works on big films has or deserves a dedicated page of their own because they're not sufficiently notable or of interest to the public. This page rather obviously suggests self-promotion rather than true notability warranting their own entry. ASC600 (talk) 20:01, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
