Computing articles like this really need dates[edit]

Like there is a version history, but when did this all happen? 1970s? 1980s? 1990s? 2000s? Atarivideomusic (talk) 06:41, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The first version of Oracle Forms was developed 1979 from Bill Friend. The history is covered in an article. https://cologne-data.de/2019_01_DOAG_RedStack_oracleforms_is_stronger_than_time.pdf

Version 1 came out in June 1979 with the first database (not clear if 2.3 - versions were not important that time) Version 6(i) R1/R2 came out between 1999 and 2001. Version 12.2.1.1 in October 2015 Version 12.2.1.3 in August 2017

This article was reviewd by Bill Friend, Sohaib Abbasi and Michael Ferrante and is also published by ORACLE. https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/community/index.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colognedata (talkcontribs) 15:00, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality?[edit]

Terms like "easy to use" and the implication of "database functionality" without programming are marketing artifacts that, even if they were true (subjunctive mood intentional), do not belong in a neutral treatment of the product.

Separate Topic?[edit]

Is a separate treatement of Oracle Forms necessary? Please consider rolling it into the Oracle Developer Suite entry.

Do not roll it into Oracle Developer Suite.

Justiciation - Oracle Forms was around long before it was first bundled with a suite (Oracle IDE). It has a history that begun long before and separate to Oracle Developer Suite. Applications are usually considered to be Oracle Forms based rather than Oracle Developer Suite based. This page is too large to fold into the Developer Suite page
