Hiragana in intro[edit]

The hiragana for 小千谷市 is entirely predictable from the kanji for anyone who knows enough to care what the hiragana is. That is exactly the reason why we don't include the hiragana in addition to rōmaji in any Japan article. Amake 08:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you can make the argument that the hiragana for おぢやし is predictable from both the kanji and the romaji. But, with only kanji, the reading for 小千谷市 is not predicable. XinJeisan 18:32, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
