POV:

The use of phrases such as:

"The word Nushki is given to Noshkay by the English colonizers"

"Balochistan was invaded by the English in 1839"

"Mehrab Khan martyrd by the English occupier army at Kalat"

seems mighty NPOV to me.

Didn't the English attack Baluchistan? Or were they invited? Tqaisrani 16:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So Mr.Capnned, what do you suggest what words should be used instead. Let me see if you belong to the same creed what orwell called "big brother" I think you want to suggest that the word should be replaced as follows "colonizers" = Messenger of freedom and democracy, "invaded" = Brought freedom, "martyrd"= tyrant executed, "occupier" = Stabilising and reconstruction forces? am I right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.132.3.6 (talk) 10:51, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quetta Plateau[edit]

Re [1]: Gotitbro, I don't know about the geography of the place, all I know is that there are plenty of uses of the term "Quetta Plateau" in books [2]. Of course, I don't know if this is the exact same landform intended here, but as far as I'm able to see Balochistan plateau is a different thing altogether: it's a very broad feature (see [3]), so broad that it's not helpful as a point of reference when describing the location of human settlements like this one. – Uanfala (talk) 00:11, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Uanfala: I thinks its better to remove that part altogether from the lead. I have not seen the term Quetta plateau in any current readings on Quetta or Balochistan, the term seems to be picked up form the 1911 Britannica as cited in the article (not sure how reliable that is now). Though I'll self-revert my edits for now. Thanks. Gotitbro (talk) 00:19, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In that case it might be better to simply omit mention of the plateau? I've removed it from the article for now. – Uanfala (talk) 00:36, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
