Notability[edit]

Noise By Numbers is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians. (WP:BAND 1.6) Dan Schafer has also played with Screeching Weasel, the Queers, the Methadones, Riverdales and Sludgeworth. Guitarist Jeff Dean also plays in The Bomb and numerous other bands. Original drummer Neil Hennessy has also played with The Lawrence Arms, Colossal, The Falcon, Baxter, The Killing Tree and Smoking Popes. Each of the other members have also played in multiple other bands.

The band has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself. (WP:BAND 1.1) The band has received press coverage from the Chicago Sun-Times, Punknews.org and AMP Magazine. (The AMP article is no longer online, but I'm working on finding a copy).
