Removed NPOV parts[edit]

I removed the following lines:

Many consider this song to be the best Ozzy song since Crazy Train. It was rated #10 on U.S. Mainstream Rock. Ozzy considers this song to be a gift from God. Mike Inez came up with the opening bass rift and it just took off from there.

I removed reference to child porn/fisting. This would definitely need citation. The song was generally understood to be a farewell song at the time of it's release, the references to "I never wanted it to end this way my love, my darling" and observing a man in the crowd before the show "waiting does he see me?" and"the redlight goes on and it's time to begin" is a reference to going on stage. Ozzy may be nuts, but he's not a complete freak...

I've read that it can be interpreted as being seen through the eyes of a child kidnapper (a similar theme to Mr. Tinkertrain, and don't tell me *that* one isn't there), "it's just a hand in the bush" being a reference to the little girl (mentioned in the first verse) seeing the hand of the child kidnapper in the bushes through a window. This is just one interpretation, I guess, though, so. On a side note, what the hell are the rest of the lines in the middle of the song? All I can make out is "Going forwards in reverse. Still," and "It's just a hand in the bush." That's all I can make out, and there's no real lyrics for it. For some reason (perhaps something I've thought ever since I was a kid) I've always gotten an image of some kind of car wreck from that. Onslaught Six 09:02, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Farewell song?[edit]

I'm sorry, but I remember listening to this when it came out, at the time, it was understood to be a farewell album as Ozzy was supposedly retiring. (No More Tears the album and the No More Tours concert tour) The lines "A levee of tears to learn she'll never be coming back, the man in the dark (Ozzy) will bring another attack" "the red light comes on to say it's time to begin" and "I see the man around the corner waiting does he see me?" or "I close my eyes and wait to hear the sound of someone screaming" were understood to be about Ozzy, as a aging rockstar, preparing to go on stage one last time for his fans. Bass player[edit]

Well, IP editor from 2008, there is a citation now on No More Tears that explains it. Mike Inez wrote the riff (and is credited as a writer) but Bob Daisley performed it. Jip Orlando (talk) 20:25, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
