CSD Dispute[edit]

This bands popularity has grown extensively and they have garnered enough attention that they deserve a page of information detailing their accomplishments.

(Please sign your name with four of these ~) Can you please cite a few sources proving notability? Vistro (talk) 01:34, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

what? -Anna Limbrough —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anna6969 (talkcontribs) 01:37, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In order to qualify for an encyclopedia article, a band must be "notable". Please read WP:BAND, the relevant notability guideline. If the Night Beats satisfy the notability criteria, please add that information to the article. Be sure to include reliable sources so readers, including other editors, can verify the facts in the article. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:49, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
1.Has been the subject of a half-hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network.

Live on air performance on 90.3 KEXP (Seattle and NYC) and regular airplay on stations across the country.(http://kexp.org/live/liveperformance.aspx?rID=31022) Recently top 5 KDVS records to be played.(http://www.kdvs.org/thirty)

2.Has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable

(Published Reviews in the LA Examiner, Chicago REader, Las Vegas Times, Seattle Weekly, etc) a few references:

3.Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles. Tarek Wegner is of the drug purse, once endorsed by American Spirits and Lee Blackwell has been in groups signed to columbia and the UFO Club contains him and Christian Bland (Black Angels, major label band, Blue Horizon Records).

4.Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable) Trouble in Mind Records has many notable performers and contains bands from other Major Label bands, Ty Segall (Hozac Records) Jacuzzi Boys, and Davilla 666 (Vice records, In the Red) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anna6969 (talkcontribs) 02:11, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay Anna, now add that information to the article, including the sources. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:19, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict Of Interest Issue[edit]

This article is often being edited by the artist/frontman, who repeatedly removes mention of previous band members and information they appear to not like to push a certain narrative. Just thought it was important that this is clear and known. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Goldengoo556 (talkcontribs) 12:28, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

yes, it is known he has been doing this for some years to push his career by tarnishing other's reputations. Even going so far as to distributing erroneous narratives to media and then citing the subsequent fictional articles. Allison Lockheart (thee damaged lungs) (talk) 03:01, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The POV pushing by artist (or someone connected) has again edited the article to remove all references to previous band members. Latest username is CherryUK73.

There has also been multiple attempts to edit the artist's name or alias (of which there are several unsourced names). I suggest the artist start a new page for their solo efforts instead of struggling with editing the past and facts about an actual group. Allison Lockheart (thee damaged lungs) (talk) 07:16, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Again, I have removed biased and disputed unlawful defamation of previous band member. Referenced was a badly written and unverifiable blog post written by "Blackwell" and looks to be added here by him as well. I will continue monitoring his suspected repeated attempts at editing the history of other people to shape his in better light.
