This article asserts "SPICE is the origin of all electronic circuit simulators." This is not correct, not even if the statement is narrowed to read "SPICE is the origin of all transistor-level electronic circuit simulators." UC Berkeley SPICE may have been the first popular FREE transistor-level circuit simulator. I and all of my electrical and electronic engineering class mates at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo were instructed to use IBM's Continuous-System Modeling Program (CSMP) for electrical and electronic circuit analysis course work.
