Getrag 290?[edit]
The NV3500 and predecessors are sometimes referred to as Getrag 290.
The Getrag 290 is used in BMW 5, 7, and 8 series BMW automobiles as well as Jaguar XJ models in the UK.
Is the MG290 and HM290 a derivative of the Getrag G290?
The relatively low 300ft/lb torque rating of the GM truck transmission would lead me to believe that this is incorrect.
