I removed this:

This company's slogan, especially in the 1980s, was "We're the one for you, New England."

because that's the wrong New England Telephone - that's the one which became NYNEX, not this one. - DavidWBrooks (9 December 2005)

On an old New England Telephone phonebook for the Woonsocket, Rhode Island area, the logo listed was "We're the one for you, New England." This slogan was used, especially in the 1980s. I don't know about whether it was used prior, such as the 1960s, but I do know that up until New England Telephone became NYNEX, the slogan used was "We're the one for you, New England." Thus, I think that the slogan should be mentioned because it was a part of New England Telephone's history. -Daniel Blanchette 22:15, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Read the article again: this is New England Telegraph and Telegraph ... It lasted just a year, from 1878 to 1879, and had no direct relationship to the later New England Telephone ... You're talking about a whole different company, New England Telephone. - DavidWBrooks 00:07, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
