Similarity to earlier Bruce Dern movie[edit]

Sounds like its a quirky, slow, character-driven movie. More emotional angst than action. Perhaps somebody can include in this article some quotes from some reviews. The plot reminds me of Bruce Dern's 1972 movie "King of Marvin Gardens." Marc S. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 20:57, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hawthorne, Nebraska?[edit]

Where were the scenes for "Hawthorne, NE" filmed? It doesn't seem to be a real place. This article also notes that some filming was done in Buffalo, WY, but in the film I don't recall seeing any scenes from that town. I don't think the Hawthorne scenes were filmed in Buffalo.

    * The scenes filmed in Hawthorne Nebraska were filmed in Plainview Nebraska at "Fats Bar", several local businesses, 112 N. Plum (Personal Residence, and some businesses from area small towns were meshed in with those from Plainview. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.220.95.205 (talk) 22:56, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Motorcycles on highway[edit]

Theres a very quick shot of a group of motorcyclists on a highway. In an NPR interview, Director Alexander Payne said he requested an extra $50,000 from the producers so he could get this shot of the bikers. Although my opinion is that the shot is a waste of money; It adds nothing to the movie; Marc S. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 15:30, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
