COI tag[edit]

This article was done in response to a Special request posted on my talk page. The battalion had attempted to do it's own article and was rejected for COI. My input was requested as the battalion thought there were no COI issues with me doing it as I had no affiliation or history with the unit. However, 2601:188:180:11f0:65f5:930c:b0b2:cd63 seems to feel there was or is a COI for me as well and the Wikipedia Military History group instructed me to find out what the exact issues are. I do not see that the COI tag is necessary, the edits by NMCB11PAO have not been a major contribution to the article and in some instances they have been reverted. My recommendation is that the tag be removed and that NMCB11PAO refrain from further edits. Pennsy22 (talk) 16:05, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'll remove the COI tag, but there are multiple issues with the article (mention of non notables in captions and article body, unsourced content), which could merit various templates, or, preferably, clean up. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 13:53, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, notwithstanding suggested copy edits Mcb133aco has done admirable work on this article. What initially drew my attention was some unsourced editorializing in the lede. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 13:59, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
