not a trestle bridge[edit]

The image of the bridge says that it is a trestle bridge. While that may be correct in that it is a trestle across the Suwannee River, it is actually a Swing Bridge (but currently/permanently locked into the closed position). You can see the gear teeth and wheels by leaning over the part of the bridge with no ironwork. Bridge is believed to have been constructed about 1906, and was part of the Perry Cutoff railroad route.
