AMD Ownership[edit]

Shouldn't this article include mention that AMD now owns rights to this chipset - or am I missing something? --Anthony5429 15:05, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe AMD was licensed as a second source and didn't actually own an IP.

Not true. Starting with the 53C90A, DMA capability is available, also true of the later 53C94. In fact, the latter could be made to communicate both via DMA and PIO in the same circuit.
