background[edit]

So most of the sources talk about the subject's agricultural background so not sure why it is being removed. Edits on caste, on the other hand, are not sourced. The subject will be the second Telugu speaking CJI. By putting language in early life, the latter is being missed out. (ATTN @MRRaja001: VV 13:40, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vincentvikram:Yeah forgot that. Thanks for adding. But agrarian is the apt word. - MRRaja001 (talk) 15:01, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

English Pronunciation Respelling[edit]

I think that the english pronunciation respelling is incorrect due to the following reasons:

  1. All the syllables in the last name (not surname) 'Ramana' have equal length rather than having the longer syllable at the end, as indicated in the said respelling. This is, in fact, understood from the IPA just beside it.
  2. There is no emphasis on the last syllable of the said last name. This is in conformity with the lack of emphasis on different syllables in Telugu in general.
  3. There is no English equivalent for 'ɳ', implying that the english pronunciation respelling is inaccurate and contradictory to IPA, and thus, misleading and a cause of confusion.

To that end, I think it appropriate that the english respelling be removed to avoid confusion in deference to the more accurate and precise IPA. Viv73 (talk) 06:19, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. Removed it. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:00, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
