Very wrong synopsis[edit]

> As Hana grew up she began to fall in love with her own relative.

This is simply not accurate. The film is a Lolita-like story about a girl that is raised as essentially the man's concubine. He can get away with it because she has no surviving relatives and has been relocated to a town far from her original home, in another part of Japan, where nobody knows her. Everyone in town thinks she's the man's daughter; their actual relationship is a secret. In the end she gets away from him. Her feelings toward the man are never clear, but the idea that she has simply fallen for him, or that this film is a "romance", is a gross distortion.
