Meaning of song[edit]

There's another layer of possible meaning in the song, which I don't think has been pointed out in any English language source: the word "Pilzkopf" (literally "mushroom head") was used in Germany to refer to the Beatles in their early days, an exact parallel to the English term "moptop".
