Was it truly unique[edit]

This article was nominated for a DYK... and I would really like to promote it as such, but in order to do so, I feel that it needs a reference supporting the notion that it was 'unique in that it was owned by African-Americans and catered to an African-American clientel"Balloonman 03:59, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
