Forensic section[edit]

I know that some of the dates in the aforementioned section are incorrect. I don't have any hard evidence to prove it, however, as a member of the team during the time span I know them to be false. Moore1612 01:28, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Athletics as well?[edit]

While I'm glad this page makes importance of the school's fine arts, something that is actually rather neglected to be recognized within the school, perhaps there should be a mention of athletics as well, since MTLHS is known for that as well.

I know that Girl's Lacrosse just won WPIAL, as well as Boy's Basketball, Boy's Swimming, Hockey, etc. and a lot of the teams are in AAA or AAAA leagues. (I don't remember them all, since I am more into fine arts.) I know that Fine Arts is something that school is recognized for, but it's not lacking in athletics either.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Kyuu (talkcontribs)

Good idea. Please cite to the appropriate pages at either www.wpial.org or the Post-Gazette.--M@rēino 04:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the athletics section needs to be rewritten for a couple of reasons - first, there are a significant number of athletic accomplishments that are ignored as they are more than 8 years old. I do not see the relevance of stating that there have been two losing football seasons recently when the fact that MTL won 4 of 5 WPIAL footbal championships in the early 80's is ignored - just an example of how skewed the section is to recent events. Also, the writing is not very good. 205.228.53.11 (talk) 14:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)sefinke[reply]

Vulgarity[edit]

Is the information on vulgar student lists really relevant? I belive it fails Wikipedia:Recentism, and I plan on removing it at the end of the week if no-one can demonstrate otherwise.--M@rēino 02:38, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that its a flash in the pan type incident which is not likely to be remembered for very long. I added the sources because it was indeed a true statement and not libellous like the reversion indicated. I propose that we leave it up until June 16th, the last day of class for the students. Then it can be taken down as many of the students involved will graduate and the article will no longer be relavant. (As an aside, I personally feel that it the media made a mountain out of a molehill by putting it on the front page of the PG and that's the only reason that it's relavant enough to leave it up that long.) Agreed.--M@rēino 13:38, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
