why do they merit such a detailed page when their only 'hit' didn't even crack the top 100

- Jack

Quite a few sixties bands (including this one) released some great singles that got little or no airplay beyond their own hometowns, and consequently, sold very few records. Mouse and the Traps have received recognition in the 1970s and beyond with the release of various compilation albums, exposing their music to a wider audience. A Public Execution and Maid of Sugar, Maid of Spice are both outstanding tracks. Regarding A Public Execution, some say that they out-Dylaned Dylan himself. This sounds like a ridiculous conclusion to draw until one actually hears the track for oneself. Hearing is believing. The "fuss" about the band is warranted among fans of the genre. I dare say they're certainly as notable as quite a few other musical acts that have pages in this encyclopedia. Jonneroo (talk) 17:50, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They didn't out-Dylan Dylan, they copied Dylan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.95.236 (talk) 18:15, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Positively 13 O'Clock line-up[edit]

The Positively 13 O'Clock line-up may have to be revised. According to http://www.garagehangover.com/?q=JimmyRabbit that would have been Jimmy Rabbit (v) with Bugs Henderson (g), Ronnie (Mouse) Weiss (g), David Stanley (b), Ken (Nardo) Murray (d) and Jerry Howell (organ, instead of Robin Hood Brians). Doug Rhone is not mentioned in the line-up. Raxhonp (talk) 18:38, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Satruday Morning Cartoon Theme[edit]

Has anyone done any research on whether the band (or at least Ronnie Weiss) did the theme song to the "Groovie Goolies" Saturday morning cartoon show. Here's the opening credits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmelTlEzI34 . Sounds an awful lot like Ronnie, no? And the era (1970-72) is about right. The wiki entry for Goolies says it was Tom McKenzie on vox for "in episode" songs, but doesn't specifically mention the theme. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soccermavn (talkcontribs) 14:02, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
