Coordinate error[edit]

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for Mount Burke The BC Province puts it here Lat. 49°18'28" Longitude: 122°42'41" This is a very common mistake with this small land feature; to place it on one of the highest points,which is unamed. See 092G\7 for correct location.

no Declined — The article says that this is specifically not the lower Mount Burke. However, it should be noted that it would appear that this is an informal, unofficial name for this peak whereas the lower Mt. Burke is an official name for that hill. This, higher, peak is also frequently (and probably better) referred to as Burke Summit, but you can find a number of references to it as Burke Mountain as well. Some photos taken of the old Burke Mountain Ski Village (all the pictures here, but especially this one and this one, clearly show that it is at the high elevation of the "unofficial" Mount Berke, not at the sea level of the "official" Mount Berke. — TransporterMan (TALK) 20:53, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mount Burke?[edit]

I grew up in Coquitlam and have lived in the Lower Mainland my whole life and I have never heard or seen Burke Mountain referred to as "Mount Burke." (I'm assuming your "Mount Berke" reference is just a spelling error.) I suggest this be changed to reflect the common nomenclature.

According to BC Geographic Names, the official name for this mountain is in fact Mount Burke. Volcanoguy 06:12, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
