Biased controversy section[edit]

After reading through the controversy section on this page, I must say that I am quite disturbed by its content. I would hope that the wikipedia administrators have a more meticulous look at the nature of the information provided to them, as the propaganda machine of the Islamic Republic has been at work in this instance. Mr. Makhmalbaf's history deserves a lot more scrutiny before allegations of this kind can be included in a person's biography on the internet. At this point, the controversy section of this page therefore functions merely as a source of slander. Most probably, this slander is only supposed to discredit the political activities of Makhmalbaf in support of Mousavi. I would think it prudent to remove this section...

you can't write nonsense on peoples biography, why do you play with peoples life and name just because you don't like them and you don't have the same idea... if you know or have seen 1 film of Mr. Makhmalbaf you know it's just nonsense employees of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN stop writing bad biographies for our heros on wikipedia... Just know that maybe you can change truth from Wikipedia but you can't change it from people's brain... and you can't change destiny of your fascist president by writing these nonsenses about our heros...

this article was nonsense and completely wrong[edit]

I've removed the controversy section as it was unsourced and appeared to add nothing to the article other than to exhibit a political bias and discredit the subject. Thank you, Fieldday-sunday (talk) 01:28, 31 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Missing bio[edit]

There's some odd things about this entry: (1) There's very little biographical information. Mohsen has lead a fascinating life, and his experiences have shaped the content of his films in unusual ways. (2) There's nothing on his changing political views, which have also had a big impact on his work. (3) In an entry full of massive lists, his early Islamist movies have been left out. Why include his later short films and other lists but not include his first feature films? At the moment this reads more like his CV than a Wikipedia entry. If you're watching this page, please let me know your views before I start work on it. Cheers, Haminoon (talk) 09:07, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Haminoon: I agree. I filled in the bare minimum. Please feel free to extend as long WP:BLP is observed.--Anders Feder (talk) 22:22, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
