Japan's THIRD pillarless coupe with wind-down windows and ACCOD location[edit]

The first-generation Galant and Galant GTO two-door hardtops were Mitsubishi's first pillarless cars but they were not the first in Japan. The honor of offering "the unique stylistic feature of being the first Japanese production passenger car with full side windows and no side pillars" goes to the Toyota Corona 2-door hardtop first shown at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show and placed on sale in Japan and the United States in calendar year 1966. The Galant hardtop appeared in early 1970, with the GTO breaking cover in November of that year. I have revised the text here and in the equally erroneous Mitsubishi Galant page. The Art Center College of Design was from 1947 to 1986 located on Third Street in Los Angeles, not in Pasadena. the move to the present Pasadena campus was complete in 1986. SO when Kamisago-san was at Art Center he as not in Pasadena, but Los Angeles. Text edited to reflect that. (Source - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_Center_College_of_Design )
