Potential copyright issues etc.[edit]

It appears from the edit history of Miscarriages of Justice Organisation that one editor is very closely affiliated with the Organisation. There are two issues here that need to be addressed. Writing about yourself or an organisation you are part of is generally discouraged as a potential Conflict of interest. Secondly the username is identical to the name of one of the founders and I would guess that the editor is indeed one of the founders and this does not fit well with the Wikipedia username Policy. The most significant issue however is that the text of this article is more or less identical to the organisations web-site and as such is a potential copyright violation.

This all suggests that there is a little work to do to get the article on a sound fotting and prevent it from being deleted. Firstly, if the organisation agrees to give permission for its use than there is helpful guidance at Donating copyright material - this an essential first step (or re-write the article). For the article to survive it also needs some external references from respected sources - serious Newspapers, mainstream TV news reports etc.  Velella  Velella Talk   11:33, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
