Smudger = "Number Two"???[edit]

Hi. Just fixing links for Mid Sodor Railway loco Stanley/Smudger and came across an entry for him in article 'Number Two'. This sounds to me like fan fiction. Can anyone confirm whether Smudger is ever known as Number Two in the TV Series, and if so, whether the stated reason is correct? If not, some further editing is required...

Thanks -- EdJogg 13:22, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is the text from that article
In the television series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, the locomotive Smudger (known as 'Stanley' in The Railway Series) is known by some as "Number Two". This is because the other unknown 'Number Two' was scrapped.
Is this fan fiction, or is Stanley really known as 'Number Two'

Mr. Jolly's Chocolate Vans[edit]

This section was added some time ago, as a merge from a page created by an anon editor. It strikes me that they do not belong on this page, any more than the other non-descript wagons would.

Delete?

Quite right. Would have belonged on "Rolling Stock", but that page has even since been culled. I completely forgot about this one tho... Consider it deleted. Gonzerelli 01:49, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LNER 4472[edit]

Fair use rationale for Image:BreakVan.jpg[edit]

Image:BreakVan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:53, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

There are currently several characters without a picture. When need to add them.

If you add a picture use this FUR.

==Summary==

This image is of the Thomas & Friends character: Name of Character (inclued link).

It is believed that its use in Railway engines (Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends) counts as 'Fair Use' for the reasons stated below.

  • Copyright owner: HIT Entertainment plc
  • Source: Thomas & Friends, season , Episode *: "Name of Episode"
  • Screen capture by: <name>or<URL>

===Fair use rationale===

  1. The image is of low resolution
  2. The image does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the source product in any way.
  3. For an article about an animated television series, images are very important for identifying individual characters and add significantly to the article.
  4. The image is only being used for informational purposes.

Character reorganisation - work still required[edit]

I've just had a look at the 'What links here' for this page, and there are LOADS of redirects still pointing to this page rather than where the characters now reside. Could those responsible for the moves please complete the job by updating the redirects. Thanks. EdJogg 00:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
