Mind Blowin' (Smooth song) → Mind Blowin' (song) – Right now, Mind Blowin' (song) redirects to No One Can Do It Better, an album by The D.O.C. who happens to have a song on there under the same title. However, since that song itself doesn't have an article and the Smooth song is the only song under that title on Wikipedia with an article, I think this redirect would be best. --Relisted. Oppose - why would "song itself doesn't have an article" and the Smooth song is the "only song under that title" be reasons to remove (~~Smooth~~ song)? The D.O.C. song seems to be equally notable, redirect to dab, created at Mind Blowing. In ictu oculi (talk) 04:34, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- So we should keep the D.O.C. redirect as a placeholder just in case someone feels like creating an actual article for it? That isn't how Wikipedia works. In addition, as for your disambig page, well, if anything, it should be called Mind Blowin', not Mind Blowing, as only one article in that list is titled as the latter while everything else is titled as the former. That's a different question, yes Mind Blowin' (song) is an ambiguous redirect and should redirect to the dab, while we should keep Mind Blowin' (The D.O.C. song) redirect as a placeholder for readers wanting the The D.O.C. song, but "creating an actual article for it" is irrelevant according to WP:DAB. For better or worse in the real world the song exists and is covered in the album. Likewise Mind Blowin' (Smooth song) would still exist as a redirect if this song was merged into the album. Re the dab, the dab page should stay at Mind Blowing, since we don't incorporate minor stylisms like ' ! - etc. into dab page titles. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 02:33, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
