1956 football team[edit]

My name is Jack Twet...I played and started all my football career at Milton College for 3 years. My position was right tackle ....our 1956 team was undefeated...7-0 ...We were first Wildcat team undefeated...(and maybe the only undefeated team)I led our team with 94 tackles that year. I played offense and defense ....for a full 60 minutes. Our coach, who was not mentioned in any of your articles ,was Red Oberbrunner. He was also Wildcat baseball coach. Two more names should be given attention are....... one, our tailback, Frankie Rabiola...who was a 2 time Little All-american and Al Pearson, our left tackle.also Little All-American ....Al was All-American offense and defense... Frankie's yards per carry average was....get this. ......10. 6 .Yards Per Carry......All three of us were captains our senior years.. BTW, our 1956 -1957 teams had 26 and 28 men respectively suited for our games. I graduated in 1958 and went directly into the military to be stationed in Germany for 17 months and played one season of Army Football.....over seas. I am 87 now....still married 58 years ,and have Milton memories that are FADING RAPIDLY.....
