Summary Deletions of Entries on Discussion Page[edit]

It is extremely disturbing to see that a registered user, Trifan99, deleted the ENTIRE contents of this talk page! Just because he/she does not agree with the statements made on the TALK PAGE by other contributors does not make it acceptable to delete THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF A TALK PAGE relating to a particular article.Cyclingfansanon (talk) 21:32, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have posted the appropriate message template on his talk page.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:39, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Wikipedia makes it quite clear[1] that the deletion of other contributor's comments is acceptable only under very specific circumstances, none of which is even claimed to have been manifest here. I quote:
"Editing...Others' comments It is not necessary to bring talk pages to publishing standards, so there is no need to correct typing/spelling errors, grammar, etc. It tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. The basic rule – with some specific exceptions outlined below – is, that you should not strike out or delete the comments of other editors without their permission. Never edit someone's comment to change its meaning, even on your own talk page. Do not edit apparent mistaken homophone contractions in comments of others. One may only ask the poster what they meant to say."[2] --Cyclingfansanon (talk) 21:44, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's truly shocking to see the associates of a once-great cycling coach (or the coach himself, who is the subject of the article, deleting everyone's comments...Azx2 (talk) 07:49, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just had a look at this as I was going to restore the deleted comments but I noticed they were put up by a now banned sockpuppet user. So, I didn't re-add it all but it's still all there in the history. SeveroTC 11:35, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

National Teams Coached/Managed and Medals Won[edit]

It would be interesting if someone could obtain an accurate listing of how many US National teams competed with Fraysse as either a manager, coach, or rider, even! LA 84 Olympics cycling team would be one for USA.Azx2 (talk) 07:53, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
