Spoilers for the series are already out and have been predicted from the character names and lack of an original story[edit]

It seems the name for the actor that is suppose to be "Jesus" has the official character name of Al-Masih ad-Dajjal on IMDB, which is just Arabic name for the Antichrist and false messiah. Should this be included in the wiki section, I honestly doubt this show it that good to hide spoilers and it seems the studio is trying to edit this wikipage to make their show look good despite negative reception — Preceding unsigned comment added by OyVey1944 (talkcontribs) 03:44, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The premise as stated here spoils the entire season! The Antichrist reveal is a end-of-season plot twist. Change "The series focuses on the modern world's reaction to the Antichrist, who first appears in the Middle East claiming to be the Messiah.[4]" To "The series focuses on the modern world's reaction to a charismatic man, who first appears in the Middle East claiming to be the Messiah.[4]" 2A01:CB08:289:3200:A911:4D89:9F2D:D070 (talk) 19:02, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: It is not acceptable to delete information from an article solely because it spoils the plot. See the guideline at WP:SPOILER for further information. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 19:12, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The thing I was wondering, since the studio already spoiled it themselves by just copy pasting a religious prophecy everyone ones, and anyone who is Muslim, Christian, or Jewish immediately figured out the main character was actually the Anti-Christ, is there a point to removing it? Consider that his name is known among Muslims as the name of the anti-Christ, so the show would already spoil the ending for Muslim viewers just by revealing his first name. It's like if we editted the wikipage of Star Wars a show everyone knows about and put "Luke's father is Darth Vader" not really much of a spoiler, especially since this is not an original show. One does not make spoilers for remakes is what I am saying. Also your edit would still be a spoiler since the prophecy states the Anti-christ will be a charismatic man claiming to be the messiah OyVey1944 (talk) 19:45, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Does he actually claim to be Jesus? I've watched the first 5 episodes, and from what I've seen, people consider him to be Jesus, but he never claims it. If he does claim it, where is that done? 66.90.144.67 (talk) 17:38, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A reception section MUST be added. This is literally all over Twitter. Wikipedia does not exist to safeguard Netflix's profits, especially when they gave away their own plot. End of story. Netflix's response to users by blocking their replies on the Twitter platform is absolutely pertinent as well. Here is my suggestion:

The trailer has received negative receptions on Twitter, where users predicted the plot of the show after Netflix revealed that the name of the character being played by Mehdi Dehbi was "Al Massih ad-Dajjal", which translates to the Antichrist or false messiah in Arabic. This is a reference to the Islamic prophecy of the Antichrist pretending to be the messiah to trick people into following the devil. When one user commented to this effect, he was blocked by the account that posted the trailer and the tweet was hidden. Postaltoad (talk) 01:26, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter is not enough to make it an inclusion onto the article. Please look up the guidelines on reliable sources, good faith, and similar TV series on how they are written. Citing a random tweet from a non-verified account is not enough. Actual articles are needed. If it says that in a previous article, please re-cite the article. Tweets are insufficient. Please use actual articles and stop accusing others of being Netflix workers as it breaks good faith.

Here are some reliable sources that can actually improve the section while sticking to what has already been discussed. This one [1] actually discusses how folks are guessing the twist, the twitter reactions, as well as Netflix supposedly blocking the user. A second discusses a satirical hashtag #Dajjal that trended in Pakistan due to Twitter reactions in the show. [2] [3] 216.15.11.186 (talk) 03:49, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Change Mehdi Dehbi's character from 'Al Massih ad-Dajjal' to 'al-Masih' - which is the correct character name. The addition of 'ad-Dajjal' is incorrect. [1]

Change premise from "about the Antichrist" - the character does not claim to be the Messiah, others around him claim he is. Change to Official show description: A CIA officer investigates a charismatic figure whose followers believe that he can perform miracles. Is he a divine entity or a dangerous con artist? [2]

I'd like to request an amendment to the 'Critical reception' section of the entry, which while factually correct, is exceptionally misleading. It currently states: "The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported a 40% approval rating for the first season, based on 20 reviews."

This only reflects the Critic Rating, based on just 20 reviews, while the Audience Score based on 1159 reviews is 89%. [1]

This extreme disparity is not referenced in the wikipage giving a wholly false impression of public response to the series. 2A00:23C6:6B82:DD00:B83B:B338:18BD:F4B1 (talk) 21:12, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: The Audience Score is almost never used as it is a user-generated resource. See that link for more information. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 20:05, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
