Timings of elections[edit]

"The First Parliament was actually dissolved in December 1857, and the next election held in February 1858". Elections were held sequentially, starting in West (?) Sydney. I suspect it is more accurate to say it finished in February 1858.--Grahame (talk) 06:33, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the reason I had the note there is because in the vast majority of member pages on the NSW Parliament website, their terms are said to finish in 1857. You are right about elections being held sequentially, beginning on 13 January 1858 in Sydney Hamlets. I'll change the note to say "January-February 1858".
