Merge discussion[edit]

It was proposed way back at the end of May that Maurice Frederick Hendrick de Haas be merged with this article, but whoever tagged it never created a discussion section. The discussion section is now open. Please voice your opinion with either Support or Oppose, and include any reasons for your opinion. Discussion[edit]

    • I merged the articles. There wasn't much in the other article (a few links to some paintings at auctions I dropped). The [Netherlands Institute for Art History], which normally provides all imaginable variations on a name, only gives "Maurits Frederik Hendrik de Haas". This probably should be the title, but in English he seems over time to have obtained the spelling Mauritz or Maurice and Maurits Frederik Hendrik de Haas was already a redirect (so I couldn't do the move). He doesn't occur in major reference works (even not in the Grove Dictionary of Art!), so there's no help there. I think the redirects can do the job. Afasmit 20:15, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
