Differences from Wisden[edit]

There are two places where this article differs from the Wisden/Cricinfo text:

Wisden claims that Jewell's last match was against Oxford University. Not so: that was on 13 August 1933, whereas the one against the West Indians took place eighteen days later.

Wisden asserts that JMH Jewell was Maurice's son. Not so: he was his nephew, as is correctly mentioned in the "Relations" section of the Cricinfo page.
