Killer kangaroo[edit]

I took out the bit that stated a man in a suit played the kangaroo because a real one would have killed its opponent.

That would definitely not have been the only reason the makers chose to do it that way, and we do not know that the reason above is THE reason why they chose a man in a suit. Animals often are played by a man in a suit. There are major problems with a real animal: it needs trainers, animals do not take direction so well, and a tame animal needs to be found-often multiple animals for stand-ins, doubled, etc. Not too many kangaroos in North America in 1978 so one would have been difficult to source. They might not have even had budget for, or access to a kangaroo, and using a real one might never have been considered at all, let alone worries it could have killed its opponent. Was Das Boxende Känguruh played by a man in a suit too?

Anyway, saying the film makers did sometime deliberately because of a reason, needs a reference. Format (talk) 21:44, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
